In the heart of Valley City, a small but dedicated team at APOC is working tirelessly to provide crucial services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. APOC, short for Abused Persons Outreach Center, is not just a crisis intervention center; it's a beacon of hope and change in the community.

A Beacon of Hope and Change

APOC is committed to providing crisis intervention, support, and counseling services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. They also focus on promoting educational and prevention programs that serve as catalysts in facilitating change in societal attitudes and behaviors. One of the standout aspects of APOC's mission is their belief that a community is truly safe only when every home within it is safe. This commitment to safety and well-being is reflected in every aspect of their work.

Creating a Safe Community

When asked about their favorite thing about having a business in Valley City, APOC's response was clear: "Helping to create a safe community." Their dedication goes beyond just providing services; it extends to actively working towards making Valley City a safer place for everyone.

Staying Connected with Community

APOC is a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce, and when asked about their Chamber membership, they stated it was to "stay connected with our community." This connection is vital for APOC to understand the evolving needs of the community and adapt their programs and services accordingly.

Adapting to Meet Changing Needs

In the past year, APOC has seen changes in the needs of victims and survivors. As these needs change, APOC's programs and services adapt to meet them, all while ensuring increased safety for those they serve.

A Lifeline for Those in Crisis

APOC's doors are open Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm. However, their commitment to serving the community goes beyond regular hours. They provide a 24-hour crisis line at (701) 845-0072, ensuring that help is always just a phone call away for those in need.
